Area of rectangle = L x B
Area = 12 x 8
Area = 96
Area of triangle = 1/2 x B x H
Area = 1/2 x 12 x 6
Area = 36
Now add Area of Rectangle and Triangle
96 + 36 = 132

Hope it helps you

Answer:

We can divide this polygon into a triangle and a rectangle.

Hence, area of rectangle = l x b

                                          = 12 x 8

                                          =  96 cm²

Now, area of triangle = 1/2 x b x h

                                   =  1/2 x 12 x 6 (14 - 6 gives us height of triangle)

                                   = 1/2 x 72= 36 cm²

Now, area of the polygon = (96+ 36) cm²

                                           = 132 cm²

Therefore, the area of the polygon is 132 cm²

Hope it'll help u!
