The difference between friendship and relationship is understanding and commitment. If you’re best friends with someone and you guys haven’t met since long, you’ll still be best friends because deep down you understand each other completely. When in a relationship, you have to show to the other person how devoted you are to him/her. Otherwise the result will be a break-up or divorce.
When you art friends with a person, you can tell them everything without the fear of being judged. However, if you tell your partner something, there is a huge probability that thing might be blown up at your face anytime in the future.
Relationships are too demanding but friendships are not. Everything is not all happy and wonderful in a relationship, as shown on TV. There is constant investigations, accusations, heartaches, etc. Friendship is simple, you fight and then after some days everything is smooth and steady as before.
You can easily move on from one partner to another in a relationship but it’s not easy to make new friends every time you fight. There is genuine happiness and love in a friendship which is scarce to find in a relationship today.
