Frogs and fishes lay hundreds of eggs at a time. However, their population is very little as compared to the number of eggs they lay. Why ??

Bcoz the eggs of frogs and fishes are mostly not covered by shell as in egg of birds. As they are not protected they are destroyed in egg stage and some of them are eaten by other marine animals in sea. Only some eggs develop into frogs and fishes hence there population is low.
Hope it will help uu
