Frogs and Salamanders are amphibians but tortoises and crocodiles are reptiles. Though both the species live in both land and water there is a difference between these. Reptiles lay eggs outside water and their eggs have a hard calcareous cover but the eggs of amphibians are layed in water as there outer covering is soft. Reptiles have internal fertilization while amphibians have external fertilization.
