From 12pm to 2.30pm, how many right angles would the minute-hand have turned?

If you switch to a rotating coordinate system in which the hour hand stands still, then the minute hand makes only11 revolutions, and so it is at right angles with the hour hand 22 times

danielwugoh: Hi the correct answer is 10. But i am not sure how the teacher derive 10 right angle.
danielwugoh: Actually I am very puzzled with the answer. For a standard clock or watch, whenever the minute-hand moves, the hour-hand will move too. By the time it moves from 12.00pm to 12.15pm the hour hand no longer stay straight at 12pm. Thus I am very curious about the answer....
