Here is your solution

Given :-

Length =20cm
breadth =16cm

Area of rectangle=l×b= 20×16=320cm^2

find the area of the wood left over. =?

=>Area of rectangle - area of equilateral triangle (akl)

320 - \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times a {}^{2} \\ 320 - \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times 6 {}^{2} \\ 320 - \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times 36 \\ 320 - 9 \sqrt{3} \\ 320 - 15.58 \\ 304.42\\ \\ now \\ <br /><br />Area \: of \: edgf= \: l×b=10×6 \\ =60cm^2<br />\\ \\ area \: of \: m \: = 304.42- 60 + area \: of \: triangle \: gef \\ area \: of \: m = 304.42 - 60 + 15.58 \\area \: of \: m = 260

Hope it helps you
