From a 72.5 m long cloth, 26 pieces each of length 1.45m are cut. The remaining piece of the cloth is then divided into 12 equal pieces. Find the length of each of these equal pieces.​

Cloth long= 72.5 m

Length of 1 piece = 1.45 m

Length of 26 pieces = 1.45 × 26

= 37.7 m

Remaining cloth divided into = 12 equal pieces

Length of 12 equal pieces = 72.5 -37.7 m

= 34.8 m

Length of 1 piece = 34.8 ÷ 12

= 2.9 m Ans
