From a balloon ascending vertically with a velocity of 18 m/s a bag is released.It reaches the ground in 12 s . Calculate height of the balloon when the bag is released and velocity with which the balloon reaches the ground

time =12sec

g=10m/s2

therefore, by applying,

h=ut -1/2gt2

h=(18*12)-1/2*10*12square

h=216-720=-514m(-ve sign denotes that g is negative and retarding)

Velocity =(average displacement )/average time

=2h/12=0/12=0m/s
