Given: 20 % of eggs broke

25 % were reserved for making desserts.

11 were consumed by family members.

We have to find the total number of eggs that were actually there.

Let the total number of eggs be 'x'

So, according to the condition

20% × x  + 25% × x  + 11 = x

0.2x + 0.25x + 11 = x\\0.45x + 11 = x\\11 = x - 0.45 x\\11 = 0.55x\\x=\frac{11}{0.55}\\x= 20

So, initially, there were 20 eggs.
