To Find :-

• How far is she from the starting point ?

Let us assume that, swati starts from point A .

Case 1) :-

• Starting point = A
• Form point A she walks 70 m towards south and reach at point B .
• AB = 70 m

Case 2) :-

• From point B she turns to her right in west direction and walks for another 70 m and reach at point C .
• BC = 70 m

Case 3) :-

• From point C she turns to her left in south direction and walks for another 60 m and reach at point D .
• CD = 60 m

Case 4) :-

• From point D she turns to her left in east direction and walks for another 70 m and reach at point D .
• DE = 70 m .
• E = End point .

So,

→ BE = CD

→ BE = 60 m

then,

→ AE = AB + BE

→ AE = 70 + 60

→ AE = 130 m (Ans.)

Hence, she is 130m far from the starting point .
