r=14 cm
total area= πr²
=22/7*196=616 cm²
r2= 3.5 cm
area of the small circles= 2*πr²=2*12.25*22/7=77 cm²
length of rectangle=3
breadth=1
area =lb=3 cm²

area of the small circles+area of rectangle=77+3=80 cm²

remaining area=616-80=536 cm²

Given :- From a circular card sheet of radius 14 cm,2 circles of radius 3.5cm and a rectangle of length 3cm and a breadth is 1 cm is removed.find the area of remaining sheet .? (pi=22÷7)

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Area of circle = π * (radius)² .
  • Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

so,

→ Area of remaining sheet = Area of seat - (Area of 2 circles + Area od rectangle.)

Putting all values now, we get,

→ Area of remaining sheet = π(14)² - [2*{π*(3.5)²} + 3 * 1]

→ Area of remaining sheet = 22*14*2 - [2*22*3.5*0.5 + 3]

→ Area of remaining sheet = 616 - (77 + 3)

→ Area of remaining sheet = 616 - 80

→ Area of remaining sheet = 536 cm². (Ans.)

Hence, Area of remaining sheet is 536 cm².
