Given:-

  • Radius of the Circular card sheet is 14 cm.

  • Radius of two circles is 3.5 cm.

  • Length and Breadth of rectangle is 3 cm and 1 cm respectively.

To Find:-

  • Remaining area of the sheet.

Solution:-

Here, Area of the Circular sheet = \pi r^{2}

                                                      = \dfrac{22}{7}\times 14 \ cm\times 14 \ cm

                                                      = 616 cm²

Now, Area of two circles = 2 × \pi r^{2}

                                         = 2 × \dfrac{22}{7}\times 3.5 \ cm \times 3.5 \ cm

                                         = 77 cm²

Now, Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

                                        = 3 cm × 1 cm

                                        = 3 cm²

Therefore, Area of remaining sheet = [ Area of whole sheet - ( Area of two circles + Area of rectangle ) ]

                                                           = [ 616 cm² - ( 77 cm² + 3 cm² ) ]

                                                           = [ 616 cm² - 80 cm² ]

                                                           = 581 cm²

Hence, Area of Remaining sheet is 581 cm².

Some Important Terms:-

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth )

  • Circumference of Circle = 2\pi r or \pi d
