Answer: Hope it's helpful

Explanation:

6cm diameter of first circle

6cm/2=3cm diameter of second circle

6cm-3cm=3cm circle cutted out

3cm/2=1.5cm radius of circle cutted out

Given:

Diameter cut out = 6 cm

To Find:

The remainder from the centre of circular plate

Explanation:

Since remaining is symmetrical about x-axis, therefore we shall find ou x only

x = Σ Aixi /Σ A

  = (A₁x₁ - A₂x₂) / (A₁ - A₂)

x = [(π /4)× (6×6)×0 - ((π /4)×(3×3)×1.5] /(π /4)× (6×6) - (π /4)×(3×3)

x = -0.5 cm

= 0.5cm

Answer = 0.5
