The area of the remaining sheet is 198 cm².

Explanation:

It is stated that,

The value of π is (22/7)

For the circular sheet,

Radius(r) = 12 cm.

∴ Area = πr²

          = (22/7)×(12)²

          = (22×12×12/7)

          = 452.57 cm².

∴ the area of the circular sheet is 452.57 cm².

For the removed circle,

Radius(r) = 9 cm.

∴ Area = (πr²)

          = (22/7) ×(9)²

          =(22×9×9/7)

         = 254.57 cm².

∴ The area of the removed circle is 254.57 cm².

∴ The area of the remaining sheet

= (The area of circular sheet - the area of the removed circle)

= (452.57 - 254.57) cm²

= 198.00 cm².

∴ The area of the remaining sheet is 198 cm².
