  =  > area \: of \: big \: circle =  \pi \:  {r}^{2}
 =  > a \:  \:  =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 4 \times 4

 =  >  \: a \:  \:  = 50.28 \:  {cm}^{2}

Now,

 =  > area \: of \: small \:  =  \pi \:  {r}^{2}

 =  >  \: a \:  \:  =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 3 \times 3

 =  > a \:  \:  = 28.28 \:  {cm}^{2}

Again,

Area of remaining part = Area of big circle-Area of Small circle.

=>Area of remaining part = (50.28-28.28)cm^2

=> Area of remaining part = 22 cm^2

Question

From a circular sheet of radius 4cm , a circle of radius of 3cm is removed find the area of remaining sheet

Answer

Radius of circular sheet (R) = 4cm

Radius of circule which is removed = 3cm

Area of remaining sheet = Area of circular sheet - Area of circle which is removed.

= π R² - πr²

= π ( R² - r² )

= 314 ( 14 )² - (3)²)

= 314 ( 16 - 9 )

= 3.14 (7)

= 3.14 × 7

= 21.98cm²
