= (31/3)+(22/5)m

= (155 + 66)/15

= 221/15

remaining length of cord =

total length of cord - cut off length

= 16 or (16/1) - (221/15)m

= (240 - 221)/15 m

= 19/15 m

or,

1.26667 m
