Given :

The starting point is origin .

Priya moves 6 steps towards north and 8 steps towards east .

Seema moves 8 steps towards east and 6 steps towards north .

To find :

(i) Coordinate of the point at which Priya and Seema met .

(ii) Madhu traveled less or more than the other two girls .

(iii) The distance covered by the Madhu .

Solution :

Coordinate of the point at which Priya and Seema met = ( 8 , 6 )

Distance covered by Madhu = √[ ( 8 * 8 ) + ( 6 * 6 ) ]

=> distance covered by Madhu = 10 units

Madhu traveled less than the other girls .

(i) Coordinate of the point at which Priya and Seema met is ( 8 , 6 )

(ii) Madhu traveled less than the other two girls .

(iii) The distance covered by the Madhu is 10 units .
