Mass of bullet, m1 = 30 g = 30 / 1000 = 3 / 100 kg
Mass of pistol, m2 = 5 kg
Velocity of bullet, v1 = 50 m/s
Recoil velocity of pistol = (-m1 × v1) / m2
= (-3/100 × 50) / 5
= -1.5 / 5
= -0.3 m/s
Mass of pistol, m2 = 5 kg
Velocity of bullet, v1 = 50 m/s
Recoil velocity of pistol = (-m1 × v1) / m2
= (-3/100 × 50) / 5
= -1.5 / 5
= -0.3 m/s
