Let AB be the tower.

Then,

∠APB= 30° & AB= 100m

$\frac{AB}{AP} = tan 30 \degree = \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} } \\ \\ = > AP = AB \times \sqrt{3} \\ \\ = > AP = 100 \times \sqrt{3} \\ \\ = > AP = 100 \times 1.73 \\ \\ = > AP = 173m$
