- Draw a line AB = 6cm, take any point C on it.
- Take C as a center, draw an arc XY.
- Taking same radius draw two arcs from X and Y and let them intersect.
- Join CP and extend.
- On CP take point P such that, CP = 5.5 cm.
- Again from P, draw a perpendicular line PQ.
- Hence PQ is parallel to AB.
