Answer:

Draw a line AB = 6cm, take any point C on it.

Take C as a center, draw an arc XY.

Taking same radius draw two arcs from X and Y and let them intersect.

Join CP and extend.

On CP take point P such that, CP = 5.5 cm.

Again from P, draw a perpendicular line PQ.

Hence PQ is parallel to AB.
