Given that,
Product of roots = -56
one root= 8
let α and β be the roots of the quadratic equation so formed
now,
αβ= -56
β=-56/α
β=-56/8
β=-7
Now,
α=8 and β=-7
so sun of roots is equal to 1
As, we know that, the general from of a quadratic equation is,
x^2-(α+β)x+αβ = 0
so quadratic equation is,
x^2-x-56=0
