from a rectangular chart paper of size 100cm by 80cm, six square of side 20cm each were cut out find the area of the remaining chart paper

l \times b \\  \\ 100 \times 80 = 8000cm {}^{2}



Now , area of a square =

(side) {}^{2}   \\  \\ 20 {}^{2}  = 400cm {}^{2}



so, the area of the six squares are :-

400 \times 6 = 2400cm {}^{2}



so, area remain =


8000 - 2400 = 5600cm {}^{2}
