As the circle cut off is of the largest possible size,

Diameter = Breadth of rectangular sheet = 14 cm

Therefore,

Radius = Diameter/2 = 14/2 = 7 cm

Area of rectangle= length*breadth= 21*14= 294 cm²

Area of circle= πr² = 22/7 * 7 * 7 = 154 cm²

Remaining area of metal sheet--

Area of sheet- Area of circle =( 294-154)cm² = 140 cm².

Answer:

area = 140 sp cm

Step-by-step explanation:

As the circle cut off is of the largest possible size,

Diameter = Breadth of rectangular sheet = 14 cm

Therefore,

Radius = Diameter/2 = 14/2 = 7 cm

Area of rectangle= length*breadth= 21*14= 294 cm²

Area of circle= πr² = 22/7 * 7 * 7 = 154 cm²

Remaining area of metal sheet--

Area of sheet- Area of circle =( 294-154)cm² = 140 cm².
