Rectangle=(45×48)cm

Largest possible circle=Circle with largest possible diameter

Circle with largest possible diameter which can be cut off this sheet will have its diameter equal to the shortest side of the sheet.

Therefore, diameter of largest possible circle=45cm

Area of circle=πr²=22/7×45/2×45/2=1,589.625cm²

Area of sheet=l×b=45×48=2160m²

Remaining area = area of sheet-area of circle = 2160-1589.625=570.375cm²

Hence, remaining area of sheet is 570.375cm².

Answer:

Answer:

area of rectangle = 45 * 48

= 2160 cm sq.

largest possible circle = diameter of 45 cm

radius = 45/2

area = 22/7 * 45/2 * 45/2

= 1591.07 cm sq.

remaining area = 568.93 cm sq.
