Answer:

570.375 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

The circle's radius will be the half of the smaller side, which is 45 cm ( also the diameter).

The radius = 22.5 cm.

The area of a circle = πr²

= 3.14 (approx) x 22.5²

= 3.14 x 506.25

= 1589.625 cm²

The area of the metal sheet = 45 x 48 cm²

= 2160 cm²

The area of the remaining portion of metal sheet

= area of sheet - area of circle

= 2160 - 1589.625 cm²

= 570.375 cm²

Hope it helps!!
