Given :- From a rectangular piece of metal sheet with a measurement of 150 cm long and 80 cm wide, Miko cut the largest possible square.

To Find :-

  • Find the perimeter of the remaining piece. ?

Answer :-

we have,

  • Length of rectangle = 150 cm .
  • Breadth = 80 cm .

we know that,

  • A square has all sides equal .

then,

  • Largest square can be cut from rectangle will be equal to side as breadth of rectangle .

therefore,

  • Length of rectangular piece left after square cut = 150 - 80 = 70 cm .
  • Breadth = 80 cm .

hence,

→ The perimeter of the remaining piece = Perimeter of rectangle - Perimeter of square = 2(L + B)

→ The perimeter of the remaining piece = 2(70 + 80)

→ The perimeter of the remaining piece = 2 * 150

→ The perimeter of the remaining piece = 300 m (Ans.)
