From a rope 11m long,two pieces of lengths 13/5m and
33/10m are cut off.What is the length of the remaining rope?

ANSWER IS 51/10m BUT I DON'T KNOW THE SOLUTION.

the total length of the rope is 11m
and two pieces of length 13/5 and 33/10 are cut out of it
now 13/5 =2.6 and 33/10=3.3 and the total cut out length is 2.6+3.3m which is equal to 5.9 m now the total length will be 11m - 5.9m =5.1m or 51/10m
