15 - 13/3 - (15-13/3)3/5
(45-13)/3-(45-13)/3*3/5
32/3-32/5
LCM of 3 and 5 is 15
32*5-32*3/15
64/15

Given,

A rope of length 15 m

13/3 m is cut off, and 3/5 of the remaining part of rope is cut off again.

To find,

Length of the remaining rope

Main Solution :

Total length of rope = 15 m
Length of rope cut off = 13/3m

Rope left = Total length of rope - length of rope cut off
=15- \frac{13}{3}m
= \frac{45-13}{3}m
= \frac{32}{3}m. (i)

Now, 3/5 of this remaining rope was cut off.

Rope cut off from the remaining part = \frac{3×32}{5×3} (ii)

= \frac{96}{15}

Rope remaining = (i) - (ii)

= \frac{32}{3} - \frac{96}{15}.

= \frac{160-96}{15}m

= \frac{64}{15}m
