Good Afternoon

How r u??

Here's ur answer

Length of one piece = 2 1/4 = 9/4m

Length of rope = 40m + 50cm = 40+0.5m = 40.5m

Let the rope be cut into x pieces then,

9/4 * x = 40.5

x = 40.5 * 4/9

x = 18 pieces
