From a rope of the length 40 metres, a man cuts some equal sized pieces. How many pieces can be cut if each piece is of 4/7 metres length?

no.of pieces can be made from 40 m of length of each 4/7 m=40/(4/7)

                                                                                               =40 × (7/4)

                                                                                               =90
