The answer is 2216.21cm³

GIVEN

Solid cube of side 14 cm, a conical cavity of height 14 cm and radius 6 cm is hollowed.

TO FIND

find the volume of the remaining solid.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

Volume of the remaining solid = Volume of cube - Voluume of cone.

Volume of cube = Side³

= 14³

= 2744cm³

Volume of cone = πr²(h/3)

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 6 \times 6 \times  \frac{14}{3}

= 527.79 cm³

Volume of Remaining solid = 2744-527.79 = 2216.21cm³

Hence, The answer is 2216.21cm³
