from a solid right circular cylinder with height 15cm and radius 7cm a right circular cone of same height and same base is removed, find the volume of remaining solid

it's very simple just minus the volume of cone and cylinder and you get the remaining solid

Given=radius of cyl.=7cm

height of cyl.=15cm

volume of cylinder=Πr×r×h

=22/7×7×7×15

=2310cm squ.

therefore,volume of cone

1/3Π×r×r×h

720 cm squ.

hence,remaining solid is

vol.of cyl.-vol.of cone

2310-720

1590cm squ.(answers)
