Volume of Sphere:Volume of cone = 125:32

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Diameter of the sphere = 20 cm

Height of cone carved out of the sphere = 16 cm.

The radius of the base of the cone = r^2

                                                           = 16*(20–16)

                                                            = 64,

                                                       r = 8 cm

Volume of the sphere =(4/3)\times(22/7)\times10^3

                                     = 4190.47619 cc ..........…(1)

Volume of the cone = (1/3)(22/7)\times8^2\times16

                                 = 1072.761905 cc ........…(2)

The ratio of the volume of the sphere to that of the cone = 4190.47619 : 1072.761905 or 3.90625 : 1 or 125:32.

Volume of Sphere: Volume of cone = 125:32
