Step-by-step explanation:

Given From a solid wooden sphere with 13 centimetres radius, a cone with 18 centimetres height and maximum base is made.

  • b. OR = OQ = 12
  •    OS = 18 – OR
  •          = 18 – 13
  •           = 5
  • So r = QS = 12 cm
  • so radius of cone is 12 cm
  • c. We know that volume of cone = 1/3 π r^2 h
  •                                                    = 1/3 x 22/7 x 144 x 18
  •                                                    = 57,024 / 21

                                                  = 2715.42 cm^3
