4450.95 liters of water delivered by the pipe in one hour

Solution:

Given that,

Inner radius of tap = 0.75 cm

Find the area of cross section of pipe

Area = \pi r^2\\\\Area = 3.14 \times 0.75^2\\\\Area = 1.76625\ cm^2

Rate of flow of water = 7 m per second

1 m = 100 cm

7 m = 700 cm

1 hour = 3600 seconds

Rate of flow of water in 1 hour = 700 \times 3600

Find the volume in litres of water delivered by the pipe in one hour

\rightarrow 1.76625 \times 700 \times 3600 = 4450950\ cm^3

Convert to liters

1\ cm^3 = 0.001\ liter\\\\4450950\ cm^3 = 4450950 \times 0.001 = 4450.95\ liter

Thus 4450.95 liters of water delivered by the pipe in one hour
