time of ascent = u/g = 8/10 = 0.8s
t1 = 0.8s

In return the ball will be projected with same velocity

LET: u = 8m/s
s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} g {t}^{2}
30 = 8t + 5 {t}^{2}
5 {t}^{2} + 8t - 30 = 0
t2 = 1.7s
t1 + t2 = 0.8 + 1.7 = 2.5
