(i) - 1/26 chance
we know that a deck contains 52 cards, out of which 26 cards are black in those 26 black cards we have 2 suits, spades and clubs these suits contain 12 cards each, and in those 12 cards there is one "10" black card, 2 out of 52 cards are black tens, when we simplify 2/52 we ge 1/26.
(ii) 12/52 - 3 /13
Face cards by definition are (a playing card that is a king, queen, or jack of a suit), we know that a suit has 3 face cards,
and we know that in a deck of 52 cards there are 4 suits,
so,
no. of suits * no. of face cards in one suit
= 4 * 3
= 12
thus 12/52.
