Answer:

The idea that Antonio is in love with Bassanio would explain his motivation for risking his life, as well as lend his character a certain poignancy, as Antonio puts his own life and wealth in jeopardy to help Bassanio woo someone else.

Answer:

1. Antonio is a confused person. he is sad but doesnt know why he is sad. maybe its cause he know he'll br parting with bassanio soon.

2. he is a true friend too. when bassanio asks for money in order to compete again the suitors of portia, Antonio doesn't have money or commodity to raise the present sum so he tells bassanio to seek for a dealer and seal antonio as the guaranteer knowing its just shylock (Antonio's enemy) presently who can provide bassanio with money.
