The protons are the positive part of an atom. The electrons are the negative part of an atom. Generally, a proton does not move as it is present in the nucleus of an atom. It is the electrons which move because hey revolve around the nucleus in orbits.
But if a proton moves from an oxygen atom, then this will mean that the oxygen atom has more electrons as compared to protons and it will change into a negatively charged atom.
