Given :-

  • Side of square sheet is 15cm.
  • Radius of the circle is 7cm.

To find :-

  • Remaining sheet after the circle is removed.

Solution :-

  • In this question we have side of square sheet and radius of the circle that is cutted out of the sheet.

Firstly, we need to find the total area of the sheet.

Since the sheet is in the shape of square.

★ Area = Side × Side

→ Area = 15 × 15

→ Area = 225 cm²

Now, we will calculate the area of the circle that is cut out from the sheet.

★ Area = πr²

→ Area = 22/7 × 7 × 7

→ Area = 22 × 7

→ Area = 154 cm²

For calculating the area of remaining sheet, we have to subtract the area of circle from the area of the sheet.

→ Remaining sheet = 225 - 154

Remaining sheet = 71 cm²

Hence,

  • The area of the remaining sheet is 71 cm².
