because when we see a bright light our pupil contracts and allows a small quantity of light intensity so when we see low intensity surrounding it takes time to pupil to expand again so this is the reason

HEY MATE....HERE IS YOUR ANSWER... :) :)
When you are outside a cinema theater, your surroundings is full of light. So your pupil (inside the iris) gets enough light to see. But when you enter the theater, the light are off. The pupil will not get enough light to see the surroundings. So the pupil will expand to take more light in.Because of this expansion of the pupil, we are unable to see things in the theater for few seconds.
