Area of the square = side × side

 = 14 \times 14

 = 196 {cm}^{2}

Area of 4 quarter circle = 4 (pi × r^2 /4)

 = 4 \times  \frac{3.142 \times 7 \times 7}{4}

 = 153.958 {cm}^{2}

Area of the remaining part = A(□) - A(○)

 = 196 - 153.958

 = 42.042 {cm}^{2}
