Answer:
The steps that are involved in getting wool yarn from fleece are as follows:
1.) SHEARING: The fleece of
sheep, along with very thin layer of dead skin,is removed from the body. Thus, this process is known as Shearing.
2.) SCOURING: The sheared fleece contains dirt and grease. It is cleaned by washing with detergent in hot water in large tanks. Suitable machines are also used for this purpose. This process is called Scouring.
3.) SORTING : The process of separating hair of different textures from the fleece is called Sorting. The sorted fibres are scoured again and then dried.
4.) DYEING: The natural hair of the sheep is white, brown or black. The raw fibres are, therefore, dyed in different colours.
5.) SPINNING: The raw and dyed fibres
are then twisted together to make threads called YARN.
