Ratio of Class 6 : Class 7 is 20 : 21.

Class 7 have greater participation.

Given

To find the ratio which class have greater participation.

There are two class, Class 6 and Class 7 participating in sit and draw competition.

Class 6 -----> Out of 140 students, 80 students participated.

                     80 / 140 = 4 / 7

                     Class 6  = 4 / 7

Class 7 -----> Out of 150 students, 90 students participated.

                      90 / 150 = 3 / 5

                      Class 7   = 3 / 5

               Class 6  = 4 / 7             Class 7   = 3 / 5

Taking L.C.M for the values 4 / 7 and 3 / 5, gives 35.

                             \frac{4}{7} × \frac{5}{5} = \frac{20}{35}

                             \frac{3}{5} × \frac{7}{7} = \frac{21}{35}

Hence, the ratio is 20 : 21

Therefore, Class 7 has greater ratio, so in Class 7 student participation is high.
