Solution:

1/2  =  0.5   Terminating decimal

1/3 = 0.333...... = 0.3 bar  non Terminating  recurring decimal

25/16  = 25/(2 * 2 * 2 * 2)  = 1.5625  Terminating decimal

20/17 = non Terminating  recurring decimal

1/7 = non Terminating decimal

3/25 = 3/(5 * 5)  = 0.12 Terminating decimal

1/10 = 1/(2 * 5)  = 0.1  Terminating decimal

17/ 6 = 17/(2 * 3) = non Terminating  recurring decimal

11/9 = 11/(3 * 3) = non Terminating  recurring decimal

5/3 = non Terminating  recurring decimal

from these problems we can conclude that

numbers divided  by prime factors 2 and 5 only are terminating decimal

all others rational numbers are non terminating recurring decimal
