Answer: 2.4cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of triangle ABC= 1/2 x 4 x 3 = 2 x 3 = 6

as per pythagoras theorem,

BC^2 = AC^2 + AB^2

= 4^2 + 3^2

= 16+9

= 25

BC = 5

Now, let AD be the altitude and BC be the base of triangle ABC

then Area = 6 (from above) = 1/2 x BC x AD

6 = 1/2 x 5 x AD

12 = 5 x AD

AD = 12/5 = 2.4cm
