From the circular card sheet of radius 28 cm two circles of radius 3.5cm

And a triangle with base 3cm and height 2cm is removed.Find the area of

remaining sheet.​

area of circular card sheet

= πr² = 3.142x28²= 2463.328 cm²

small circle radius = 3.5cm

area of this circle = πx 3.5²= 38.4895 cm²

there are 2 circles of radius 3.5cm

therefore total area = 38.4895x2 = 76.979cm²

area of traingle =( basexheight )/2

= (3x2) /2 = 3cm²

therefore total area that is removed,

2 circles + 1 traingle = 76.979+3 = 79.979cm²

remaining area after removing these circles and traingle,

2463.328- 79.979 = 2383.349cm²
