From the displacement-time graph
shown alongside calculate :
(1) Average velocity in first three seconds.
+12
(ii) Displacement from initial position at
the end of 13 s.
(iii) Time after which the body is at the initial position.
(iv) Average velocity after 8 s

Explanation:

i) given,

time (t) = 4 s

from the graph, displacement  in first 4 s = 10 m

We know,

Average velocity = distance / time

                            = 10 / 4

Average velocity = 2.5 m/s

ii) From the graph,

Initial position(Pi) = 0

Final position(Pf) = - 10 m

We know,

Displacement = Pf - Pi

                        = -10 m - 0

Displacement = - 10 m

iii) From the graph, it can be directly said that he reaches the starting point at 7 s and 13 s.

hope it helps!!!!
