Answer:

i ) Median = 40

ii ) Upper Quartile = 65

iii )Inter Quartile Range = 47

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that ,

Data in Ascending order -

0 ,7 ,10 , 18 , 25 , 36 , 38 ,40 ,45 , 56 , 60 , 65 , 77 , 83 , 88 ,95

i) Median

Number of observations ( n ) = 16

n is odd

So ,

Median = n / 2

16 / 2

8th term of the arranged data .

Median = 40

ii ) Upper Quartile Range

45 , 56 , 60 , 65 , 77 , 83 , 88 , 95

Number of observations , n = 8

n / 2 = 4

4th term = 65

iii) Inter Quartile Range

Inter Quartile = upper quartile - lower quartile

Lower quartile -

0,7,10,18,25,36, 38 ,40

Number of observations , n = 8

n / 2 = 4th observation

18

Inter Quartile Range = 65 - 18 = 47
